Shimizu Corporation, a Japanese construction company, has plans for an underwater city to be built in 2035. They plan to have the technology ready by 2030 to begin building the city which will cost $25 billion. The city, names Blue Garden, will be 75 stories, have 1,000 homes, 400 hotel rooms, and 50,000 office spaces. The power source would be micro-organism factories that create methane and water would come from sea water after its been desalinated.
