ThyssenKrupp, a German tech company, has plans to create the world’s first elevator system to run without cables. Ever since the invention of the elevator, they have run vertically with two cabins in one shaft. Thyssen Krupp plans to create and elevator system that can have multiple cabins in one shaft and that can travel both vertically and horizontally without cables. They call this new invention Multi and testing of the elevator system is planned to happen in 2016.
